Sofia
« on: September 06, 2010, 09:01:18 AM »
I'm glad to inform that on Sunday the 5th of September 2010 my daughter Sofia was born! :P Most of you probably noticed I went inactive a few weeks back, and I'm not sure how active I'll be again, since it'll take me some time to get everything sorted..... but that cRPG and Strategus thing seems reaaaally interesting. Most of the credit goes to my girlfriend Mia, of course. See you all soon on the battlefield!

Prepare for restless nights!

And congratulations to you and your girlfriend. And of course to Sofia, it's not an everyday occasion that one is born, after all.
To protect the spacehands and officers of the Imperial Navy, the Emperor Gavin is equipped with 5 Turret Sandcasters, an efficient 9MW Meson Screen, 600 sensor decoys, and a hull over 5.3 centimeters thick of proven Bonded Superdense Armor.

I'm still at the hospital, so I have an endless supply of diapers at my disposal! ;)

Nah, no connection to Bulgaria. :D I've always liked the name Sofia in all its variations (Sophee, Sophia, Sofi, etc.), even up to the point that when I started playing the original M&B my character was named Sophee. Fortunately, my girlfriend also loved the name, even before she met me some years ago, so it was pretty easy to decide on the name. :))

When it comes to her second name... We have a few choices, but nothing definite yet.

Congratulations, Juha!
Im sure you will have a whole new perspective of life in a good way   ^-^! Sofia is a beautifull name, its the same name of my niece, the daughter of my brother her name (Sofia). My niece Sofia is extremely intelligent, she is now  8 years old, what a coicidence you choose the name with the same spelling as my niece.  :)

Congratulations Juha :)

I love your choice of name "Sofia". It's a word I'm very familiar with since I studied all sorts of metaphysical subjects and I love history... so on top of sounding great, the name is! Sofia (like Sophia) means Wisdom, and the word is still used to describe a school of thought regarding metaphysical thought of this nature.
It also influenced many Mystics through the ages :)

You'll find info all over the place, and you're obviously already aware of the meaning of the name since you chose it after all but here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sophia_%28wisdom%29 (it's spelled as Sophia there, but the meaning is the same :P)
