Interesting new video  interview.
http://www.gamereactor.eu/games/11091/War+of+the+Roses/

Notable quotes:
•Unlocks are mostly for aesthetic purposes so as not to unbalance the game.
•Estimated release date around mid-2012 (subject to change).
•The developers plan on supporting the game long after release.
•Martin Wahlund (Fatshark) states that DLC will be free to avoid splitting the player base. Gordon Van Dyke (Paradox) follows up by saying that if they were to charge for DLC, it would be considered "smart" DLC and not simply a map pack. He restates that their emphasis is on keeping the player base together.
•War of the Roses will be digitally distributed through Steam.

Was intresting to watch, hope we will get to see some gameplay soon.

I'd say that if those unlocks that are not only aesthetic only give a minor advantage then it doesn't really matter. And I would expect that it's possible to restrict equipment for clan matches.

I'm more concerned of guns were mentioned.

So long as the guns serve roughly the same purpose as crossbows do in M&B:W, I don't really see any problems.

Problem is; gunz are stoopit. I want medieval warfare.

Gunz barely have a drop rate and very fast projectiles afaik, so shooting would be even easier. I guess they would counter this by making gunz inaccurate as shit, which just means more teamkills. I also don't really feel like reloading a gun for half an hour.

I don't think a few guns will break the gameplay!

Looks good.
To protect the spacehands and officers of the Imperial Navy, the Emperor Gavin is equipped with 5 Turret Sandcasters, an efficient 9MW Meson Screen, 600 sensor decoys, and a hull over 5.3 centimeters thick of proven Bonded Superdense Armor.

Game looks good. But your opponents red and green tights are of a very questionable nature. Gayest outfit I've seen to be honest.

I just hope they don't go ahead and implement some crazy ass japanese-style armor, which fits the fantasy genre a lot more than the realistic medieval one. For the record, to me the gameplay is so much more important than fancy pants!  :erm:
