The Witcher 3
« on: May 27, 2015, 07:02:31 PM »
It's a shame that we have no Witcher 3 thread. So here it is! Are there some which are playing the game as well? What is your impression about the game?

I have been playing that game since last week and I'm really in love with that. Not only the graphic looks amazing, the story, the dialogs as well as the soundtracks are just unique. But some more character RPG-elements would be nice imo.

I got a free copy through the mail today, so obviously going to try it out. I loved the other parts of the series.

Best RPG since Skyrim by far! Might even be better than Skyrim... Which in my book would make it the best RPG ever.

The grafic is off the hook. Especially when you considder the size of the world.
The voice acting beats your average hollywood movie.
The SIDE quests makes the main quests of other RPGs look dull.
Launch was smooth. Only had a few crashes the first couple of days. Since then there's been a few patches and I haven't crashes once since.
I've played over 60 hours so far and I got 37% completion (yes, I love all the side quests).

I'm getting minimized to windows every once in a while, don't really know why that is. Anything you've seen before, ned?

Can't say I have. I play fullscreen mode. Maybe try that if you aren't already.

Sounds like some other program taking the focus away from the game. Any notifications popping up? Or maybe you have Windows accessibility keyboard shortcuts turned on and happen to use those when you use ingame hotkeys?

Weird thing is, I can't return to the game afterwards. If I tab out normally, I can always switch back to the game, but here it just leaves the desktop visible and the game running in the background -- I can even walk around or press F5 to save, I just can't see what I'm doing  :P

For now it only happens once in a few hours, so not really a big deal.
